Thanks for visiting my blog. I am Adam Smith, a retired banker living in Martha’s Vineyard. I got my bachelor’s degree and MBA from UC Berkeley. While I haven’t been to California for years now, I’m still very loyal to my Alma Mater.
Right now, I’m in Paris for a long overdue vacation. My retirement dream has always been to explore Europe, and the best way to do this is to stay a few months in Paris. While I’m tempted to stay at least a year in this bright city, I can’t help but think about the home and the people I’ve left in the U.S. Truly there’s no place like home.
Of course, traveling isn’t the only thing I do these days. I’m also catching up on my reading list. Mystery and thriller novels are my favorite. Nowadays, I spend my reading time in Parisian cafes. Who knows? Maybe I’ll get an idea for a novel while I’m here in the City of Light. Aside from reading, I also enjoy courtroom and police shows on TV. Some of the shows I enjoy are The District, Grand Jury, and Starsky & Hutch. These shows are quite old, but there’s nothing like the classics.
